About Us

Although My Power People LLC is technically a startup consulting enterprise, it is a spinoff of the larger national firm, M+R Strategic Services, which employed the core staff and owner of My Power people for more than a dozen years.  The New England Division of M+R founded this firm, taking with it the clients, contracts and relationships it has cultivated while part of M+R.  My Power People LLC offers nonprofits, government agencies, and foundations a portfolio of time-tested consulting services to help them advance their mission through more effective policy advocacy and community engagement. 

Our trademarked advocacy model, the Power Prism®, has been used by countless organizations since 2002 to help plan, execute, and evaluate campaigns and it has remained competitive because we are able to adapt and tailor to the unique needs of an organization or movement.   

Our diverse team of consultants bring a variety of skill sets and professional and lived experiences to the table and our commitment to customer service is universal.  Our customers would describe us as an extension of their staff rather than arms-distance consultants and the relationships we build with our clients can last for many years even as they move from one job to another.   We know our clients, our market, our product line, our strengths, and weaknesses and have constructed a working model that will leverage our existing assets and uncover new opportunities along the way.   

My Power People LLC is fueled by the belief that social justice and equity will be more readily achieved by changing public policies that intentionally or unintentionally advantage some to the detriment of others. We work with organizations to prepare people and communities with tools, training, and coaching to build skills and capacity for effective advocacy at the legislative and community levels.
